Summer Program

The BAI Summer Program  is designed to explore the fundamental knowledge and the critical skills in applying data science to managerial decision-making in fields ranging from marketing, operations, finance, and management.

Our 2019 session from July 1rst to 10th will focus on Health Analytics.

Analytics extends our perception of space, interweaving physical and digital realities.  In our introduction to Digital Economics, we will explore how Data Science shifts our perception of time from studying the past to predicting and influencing the future.

Management is all about human decision-making. In class and out, we will look at the causes of poor decisions: risk, uncertainty, and ambiguity as well as the cognitive biases that influence how we look at the data.

The goal of data science isn’t to make machines more intelligent, but to improve our ability to take tough decisions. In our machine learning workshops, we will explore how data science can help identify the right method for each type of management problem.

Your future value won’t depend on what you do behind the screen as much as what you do in front of your customers and colleagues.  In our workshops on data storytelling, we will analyze why crunching the data isn’t enough, and apply data storytelling to incite collective action.

“The BAI Summer School allowed me for the first time to really dive into the world of AI and machine learning. In addition to the understanding the theoretical principles, I also enjoyed the opportunity to apply the learned theories to practical examples, which also gave me an insight into the daily activities of a data scientist.”
