The Winter Program
The 2023 BAI Winter School will focus on how the Practice of Data Science can contribute to AI for Good.
The pedagogical program includes four hands-on seminars and workshops led by recognized practitioners and experts in their respective fields. In each course, we will examine the progress, and explore the opportunities, and address the challenges of Data Science in developping applications of Artificial Intelligence and Web3 in business and society:
• In our introduction to Artificial Intelligence, we will examine how the paradigm shift from narrow to general and even super AI can alter our perceptions of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• In our discussion of machine learning, we will review the challenges of personal privacy, profiling, implicit bias, and automated decision-making in current applications of Artificial Intelligence and Web3.
• In our deep dive into AI project management, we will help the session’s participants understand the business impact and societal challenges of calibrating human and machine intelligence.
• In our evaluation of decentralized finance we will analyze the value propositions, use scenarios, as well as practice of smart contracts in promoting public value(s).
