How can we register?

The registration process can be found here. If you would like to apply, please e-mail a copy (pdf or equivalent) of your valid passport or identity card, school transcripts, and health and civil liability insurance to admissions@baiwinter.com

When does the session start, and when does it end?

The Winter Session will be held January 28 - February 7, 2026. We will also be organizing an optional five-day tour of the Golden Triangle for participating students immediately following the session.

What is the typical session day like?

The organization of the session is dependent on each day’s activities. As a general rule, there will be a bus to pick up the students at 8:30 for an on campus yoga session. Weekday classes are generally held for three hours in the morning, and four in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided on campus. The school bus will take the students back to their hotels or to central Mysore at 17:00 each evening.

We will be spending the weekend in Bangalore with free time around the company and cultural visits.

How are the dates of the Winter School session organized with the exams at ZHAW?

The Winter School session dates has been coordinated with the ZHAW adminstration. We will continue to monitor the schedule to ensure that the students can attend the full session.

Do we have to book the flights and hotel on our own?

Participants are free to book their own flights and hotels. We have negotiated significant discounts in two hotels in Mysore, and strongly suggest that you pick one of the two hotels.

How do you recommend to get from Bengaluru to Mysore?

We will organize two complementary bus transfers for the students early mornings on January 31 and February 1. Although the train, taxis and private buses are fairly inexpensive, we suggest taking advantage of this offer.

What would be the optimal dates to fly into Bangalore?

Given the length of the flight, we suggest leaving Zurich on January 26th (you will arrive early in the morning on the 27th). This will give you time to visit Mysore an get acclimated before the session starts.

Do I need a visa for your trip to India?

Yes, all students and faculty will need to apply online directly for an Indian e-Tourist Visa during the month of January 2026. The applications must be made a minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival. Your passport should have at least six months validity at that time. The cost is approximately US$ 25.00.

How is the weather in February?

The month of February in Mysore/Bangalore is usually sunny with little rain. The average maximum temperature is around 31.0°C (87.8°F).

When will the Summer School Site be updated?

The BAI Summer School will be held July 1-10, 2026 in Anglet (next to Bayonne, France). The summer school website will be updated on or before November 3rd.
