Prague Castle and Old Town
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Prague Castle is the largest coherent castle complex in the world, with an area of almost 70,000 m². A UNESCO World Heritage site, Prague Castle was most likely founded in around 880 by Prince Bořivoj. The site consists of a large-scale composition of palaces and ecclesiastical buildings of various architectural styles, from the remains of Romanesque-style buildings from the 10th century through the Gothic modifications of the Middle Ages.
The National Theater
The National Theatre in Prague is the alma mater of Czech opera, is the national monument of Czech history and art. With a rich artistic tradition, the National Theater helps preserve and develop the Czech musical and dramatic way of thinking. The Theatre consists of three artistic ensembles: opera, ballet and drama which select their repertoire both from classical heritage, and modern authors.
The Pilsen Brewery
The first pilsner type lager in the world was brewed in Prague in 1842. It has been a model beer for more than 80% of existing beer brands so far. More than half a million visitors from around the world visit the Pilsner Urquell Brewery annually to learn about the past and present of this global lager. The brewery today houses one of the most modern in Europe and processes 120,000 bottles and 60,000 aluminum cans per hour.
The Vltava River Cruise
Vltava is the longest river in the Czech Republic, running southeast along the Bohemian Forest and then north across Bohemia, through Český Krumlov, České Budějovice and Prague, and finally merging with the Labe at Mělník. About this activity. You will discover Prague from a different perspective as you take in stunning panoramic views of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and the skyline of the City of a Thousand Spires from the comfort of a river cruise.
