The BAI/ZHAW Winter School on Generative AI

The Business Analytics Institute, together with the ZHAW School of Management and Law and the  Prague University of Economics and Business, will be offering a 10-day winter school next February on the VSE campus in Prague, Czech Republic on leveraging Generative AI in business and society.

This university and corporate accredited Winter School will help both management students and confirmed managers improve their practice of data science in business and society.

Each course will be facilitated by industry-recognized experts in their fields.  Company visits and professional speakers from the industry leaders will highlight this session.  

The Session will be held in the ‘City of a Thousand Spires’, an important UNESCO World Heritage in the heart of Europe. Prague’s rich cultural scene complements the prestigious Czech Universita Karlova , offering a perfect setting to give your career a global perspective!

Quick facts:

  • The Winter Session will be held February 5-14, 2024. We will focus on chaining and templates of large language models (LLMs) to design business ready approaches to Generative AI using case studies, workshops, seminars, and expert testimony from the Finance, Service, and IT Sectors.

  • The session is open to PhD and graduate management and engineering students, as well as working professionals aiming to develop their practical application of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in business and society.

  • This winter’s international faculty will include Profs. Cielen, Hitz, Pechtor, and Schlenker.

    Company speakers and/or visits are planned with the data science teams from leading international companies in AI, Fin- and LegalTech.

  • Our cultural visits will include include the Prague Castle and Old Town, the National Theater, a gourmet cooking class, a tour of the Pilsen brewery, and a Vltava River Cruise.

  • The practicums will be run using Orange, ChatGPT, BERT, and LangChain.

  • The basic fees for the session are 1545 euros for the class fees and social activities. Several negotiated housing options are available to enrolled studentss.

  • Student Registration will open September 12, 2023 and closes January 12, 2024. Early bird discounts are available to students registering before November 15th.
